Mina Sooch - Managing Partner for Fund II at Triathelon Medical Ventures. Mina has more than fifteen years of pharmaceutical and healthcare experience as an entrepreneur, strategy and finance advisor, and venture capitalist. She co-founded Apjohn Ventures Fund in 2003 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where as Managing Partner she had been active in sourcing, screening, due diligence, closing, and company building with the fund's nine investments. Mina has served on all the portfolio company boards, including Asterand, ProNAi, Svelte, ZyStor, and Nephrion. She also co-founded Apjohn Group, a business accelerator, in 2001 and launched several biotech start-ups. Mina currently chairs the board of the Michigan Venture Capital Association, which she has served on for six years, and has been a long-time board member of the Midwest Healthcare Investment Network. Mina received an MBA from Harvard Business School as well as a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University.
Richard Stuebi - Managing Director, Early Stage Partners. Richard has more than 20 years' experience as an executive, entrepreneur, and consultant in the energy industry, with wide knowledge of energy sector participants, activities, economics, and regulations, as well as strong business perspectives on the energy sector’s likely evolution. Since March 2006, Richard has been the Fellow for Energy and Environmental Advancement at The Cleveland Foundation, where he has been an active force in building an advanced energy cluster in the Cleveland area, with significant attention to wind manufacturing and offshore wind development. He is currently on loan to NorTech, where he is a founding Principal in its advanced energy initiative, in order to foster regional commercial activity. Before coming to Ohio, Richard founded Denver-based NextWave Energy in 1999, assisting clients with new energy businesses or technologies in business development, strategy and capital formation. Richard has degrees in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
David Hartmann - Ann Arbor Angels. David is a Mentor-In-Residence in the U-M Office of Technology Transfer, where he provides assistance in technology disclosure assessments, business formation, and in mentoring of staff, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Dave is currently President of ArborBlue, an Ann Arbor based company focused on business planning and product development. Previously, he served as President, CEO, and founder of Avail Networks, and as CTO of Network Express, from its founding, through its 1995 IPO and acquisition in 1996. Dave has held executive positions with Nortel where he led integrated voice data development for 11 years. He is an advisor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Western Michigan University.
