Panelists:
Uzma Ahmad: An attorney in the Corporate Finance Practice Group at Dykema, Uzma practices in the firm’s Ann Arbor office. Ms. Ahmad’s practice focuses on general corporate, finance, and securities matters. She is a member of Dykema’s Venture Capital and Private Equity Investments Subgroup. Ms. Ahmad is a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School and has previously lectured as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan Law School.
Mike Klein: Currently President & COO, Online Tech, Mike is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of high tech business leadership, technology, and startup experience. He has been CEO of Interlink Networks, Managing Partner of CompanyCrafters, and CEO & Founder of Steeplechase Software. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Mike spent the first decade of his career working in sales, strategic marketing, product development and management roles at Motorola Semiconductor and Rockwell International. He has a BS in Computer Engineering from R.I.T. an MS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, and has over a half dozen patents to his name.
Mahendra Ramsinghani: Mahendra Ramsinghani is a Mentor-In-Residence with University of Michigan Office of Tech Transfer. Mahendra serves as an Advisor to Chrysalis Ventures, a $175m venture fund based in KY. Most recently, Mahendra was with Plymouth Venture Partners, a $20m technology and life science fund. Prior to Plymouth, he served as Director of Venture Capital Initiatives at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), where he participated in the design of two fund of fund programs, managed four LP investments and supported the development of angel networks in Michigan. Mahendra has an MBA and Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from Pune University, India.

Skip Simms: A Director of Ann Arbor SPARK, Skip works with Business Accelerator, early stage technology companies, preparing them for equity fund raising. Skip was successful in raising an $8 million Michigan Pre-Seed Capital Fund, the largest state 21st Century Jobs Fund program; he is currently the administrator of this fund. Prior to his role at SPARK, Skip was the Managing General Partner at the Ralph Wilson Equity Fund, which is a $31 million fund-of-funds with LP investments in five venture capital funds and six side-by-side direct investments. Skip participates on both profit and non-profit boards, and was a founding member of the Michigan Venture Capital Association.
