Last year, Dick Beedon delivered an energetic performance to win our elevator pitch battle. This year, we’ll feature new contenders who’ll try to out-pitch Dick! Each contestant will have three minutes to pitch an imaginary company – with almost no time to prepare. Join us for a wild and crazy event!

Here's how it works: Shortly before the event, four of Michigan’s most successful entrepreneurs will be given 30 minutes to review a “business plan” and present an elevator pitch to a panel of investors.

This year's competitors include:

  • Dick Beedon - Founder and Managing Director of MacBeedon Group
  • Roger Newton - Co-Founder and CEO of Esperion
  • Ron Reed - Founder of Fullscope
  • Rich Sheridan - Co-Founder and CEO of Menlo Innonations

This year's judging panel will include none other than Pete Farner of T-Gap Ventures and Mina Sooch of Apjohn Ventures.

Michigan Growth Capital Symposium host David Brophy will return as the event moderator, and singer/actor/presentation coach Eleni Kalakos is bound to add some excitement to the evening.  Let loose at the New Enterprise Forum’s “2nd Annual Entrepreneurs Improv – Battle of the Elevator Pitch” after the symposium and have fun with the who’s who of Michigan’s venture community.
