Monthly Forum

When and Where?

The New Enterprise Forum:

  • Meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except January, August, and December, and unless otherwise noted)
  • Registration starts at 5:00 p.m. and the program begins at 5:45 p.m.
  • There is a $20.00 fee for non-members, payable by cash, check, or credit card
  • No advance registration is required

Meeting Location (unless otherwise specified): Holiday Inn North Campus (Plymouth Road at US-23, Ann Arbor)

About the Forum:

Entrepreneurs seek many different resources at NEF meetings. Perhaps capital is at the top of their list, but they also seek non-financial resources or linkages to:

  • Professional services (e.g., legal, accounting or marketing support)
  • Technical assistance (e.g., programming, web site development, etc.)
  • New management team members (e.g., a marketing manager)
  • Facilities, equipment, or prototype fabricators
  • Partnerships and alliances with other companies (e.g., contract manufacturing, distribution, etc.)

NEF also offers other types of resources: advice, counsel, and referral to other community organizations that can help meet the entrepreneur's needs. Meetings are designed to facilitate linkages to resources, interaction, learning, and growing the entrepreneurial community. Our typical agenda is as follows:

  • Registration, Networking and Refreshments
  • Introductions
  • Entrepreneur Showcase Presenters
  • Keynote Speaker (see the Meeting Calendar)
  • Open Forum (attendees get 30 seconds on the mic to tell about their company's product/service and needs)
  • Networking and Refreshments
